Greencastle – Mrs. Sally Ann Blaydes, wife of Benjamin Blaydes died Wednesday at her home near Barnard. The funeral will be held Sunday with burial at Roachdale. Mrs. Blaydes Putnam County deputy recorder four years, is survived by the husband, a son, several brothers and sisters. – kbz

Funeral services for Mrs. Sallie Anna Blaydes, who died at her home near Barnard Wednesday evening of last week, were held at the Barnard Baptist church Sunday afternoon. Burial was made in Roachdale Cemetery. Mrs. Blaydes had been ill one year, death was attributed to a complication of diseases. Mrs. Blaydes was born near Belle Union June 16, 1882, a daughter of Henry C. and Nancy Staley Blue, and was married September 11, 1907, to Benjamin Blaydes, who survives. She was a sister of Mrs. Emma Ryan of this place. Mrs. Blaydes was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist church of Barnard. Surviving besides the husband and sister are one son Brewer Blaydes of near Barnard; three other sisters; Mrs. Clara Matthews of Bainbridge, Mrs. Hettie Scott of Cloverdale and Mrs. Myrtle Waddell of Chicago, and two brothers; Herbert Blue of Cloverdale and Wilson C.
